An underwater themed soft play area: Children can crawl along the ballpool seabed, slide into the ballpool Ocean, visit the ruins of the Yellow Submarine!

Special Activities:

  • Thursday Morning Coffee Club: Thursday mornings 9am - 11am. A free coffee with every soft play entry.
  • Happy Hour: Monday - Friday 11am – 12 noon. Entry only £2.50

A fun, safe and sociable environment for your child to play in during your visits to The Venue! Our crèche is OFSTED inspected. For further information including registration procedure and details of the policies and guidelines that we follow, please call 020 8386 9886. We advise advance booking as we operate strict staff:child ratios that cannot be exceeded. Please note: parents/carers need to remain on-site whilst the child is at the crèche.

Lunch Club at The Crèche back to top

Why not have lunch with a friend or go shopping without the little ones? The Lunch Club is a special service that allows parents/carers to leave their child at the crèche when they go off-site (as long as it’s within walking distance – this is an OFSTED requirement). We will lunch together with the little ones followed by playtime in the Softplay. Please remember to bring a packed lunch for your child or purchase one at our Sidekicks Café.

Swimming Lessons: Adult & Child Swim back to top

Educating the parent/guardian and the child together in the water: A general introduction to the pool environment, with emphasis on fun and water safety.

Ages: Children 4 months – 3 years plus parent/guardian in the water Times/Prices: Monday - Friday mornings. The next course starts w/c 1st September and runs for 14/15 weeks (excluding half term). Please call 020 8386 9886 for enrolment details and prices.

An interactive fitness gym with dance platforms, sport walls and X-Box Xer-stations. Children can show off their dance skills on the arcade-style dance mats competing against each other on the big screen or test their speed and coordination on the energetic, fast-moving, light-up dance wall; whilst techno wizards may prefer the Xer-stations!

Using boxing moves and techniques, with the help of pads and a fully trained SHOKK coach, this class is for boys and girls aged 8 to 15 years. Participants will also take part in circuit training and skipping just like a pro boxer!

The latest craze to hit the pool... walking on water! Water Walkerz are giant human hamster balls - just get inside and propel yourself across the surface of the pool. It’s one big ball of fun!


After school actitivies in Hertsmere for 7 – 16 year olds back to top

If your children are aged 7 – 16 years and want to try something new after school then Livewire is the perfect solution!

Children and young people can learn to dance like Michael Jackson, tackle like Theo Walcott, jump higher, run faster and aim to be fitter and healthier in just 10 weeks, starting on 21st September 2009! Click here to see the full programme of activities.

What is Livewire?

Livewire is a new term time programme in Hertsmere which gives 7 – 16 year olds the chance to try loads of different activities and sports.  Expert coaches and dance teachers make sure they have all the help and support they need in safe and secure surroundings – and they don’t have to be fit or sporty just willing to try something new!

Where does it take place?

There are different activities taking place at the following leisure centres:

How much is it?

Sessions are just £1.50 each, based on a 10 week course and it’s really flexible so you can either pay up front for the whole course or pay at each session.

What do I do next?

Fill out the registration form included which can be found at a participating leisure centre, or by clicking in the banner above.  Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
