Child Health Clinic (0–5 years)

Baby Clinic is run by our local Health Visitor Team. It is an opportunity for you to receive support and advice on a wide range of family health issues. Children’s Centre staff are also available to answer any questions you may have.

Play & Stay

The session will encourage and support your child’s development in a safe and stimulating environment. It gives you an opportunity to interact with your child whilst learning through play and making friends. The session includes free nutritious snacks for the children. A Speech & Language Therapy Assistant will be available at this group on 16th January and
27th February.

Welcome to the World-New Mums Group (0–6 months)

They early weeks with a baby can be full of mixed emotions. Gaining a network of friends in these early days is important and helpful. Why not sign up for this course, meet new mums and gain some useful knowledge in areas such as First Aid and childhood immunisations.

Toy Library

It works as an ordinary library enabling people to hire toys and equipment for short periods of time at very reasonable costs. To find out how to become a member pick up one of our Toy Library leaflets or speak to one of the Children’s Centre staff to find out more. You can pre-order toys and even get Home delivery!

Fun with Stories

This session is to use your well known popular stories in a different way, watch and take part in making “Going on a bear hunt” come alive, “Elma the colorful elephant” can live in your home or decorate a biscuit for when “Tiger comes to tea”.

About Boys (0-5 yrs)

The About Boys Course (ABC) aims to give mums more understanding of their son’s development and behaviour. This 4 week course aims to help parents understand their son and also provides techniques to encourage him to listen, engage and accept disciplines and boundaries.

Jumpstart (2 yrs plus)

Do you want to make your home a positive learning environment? Why not come and find out how you can support your child by providing them with lots of opportunities at home. This course gives you ideas to try out with your child during a fun and informative session. Plus you receive a FREE guide full of information to support the course.

Baby Massage

Baby Massage is run over 5 weeks by IAIM qualified instructors. You will learn: to massage your baby, using approved strokes and techniques and about the benefits of massage.

Friday

Parenting Puzzle (3–7 yrs)

The Parenting Puzzle is a course which is run over 8 weeks. It encourages parents/carer’s to enjoy bringing up their children and how they can get the very best out of family life. It will enable parents/ carer’s to understand how our emotions can influence our actions and facilitators offer many practical ways of guiding children so they learn to handle their feelings and control their behaviour. Best suited for parents/carers of children aged 3 years and over.

Move it

This is a session designed to help children develop their physical skills. They will be given the opportunity to climb over and crawl under apparatus, practice their ball skills and take part in fun obstacle courses. This session is recommended Toddlers and above.
