This session is to use your well known popular stories in a different way, watch and take part in making “Going on a bear hunt” come alive, “Elma the colorful elephant” can live in your home or decorate a biscuit for when “Tiger comes to tea”.

Talking to Your Baby and Toddler Workshop

Where: The Reddings Children’s Centre
Time: 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm 30th January

This session is jointly run by an NHS Speech and Language Therapist with the Children’s Centre staff. It will provide information on the importance of communicating with your child, 0 – 3 years. Your baby / toddler is welcome to attend this session with you.

Mini Move it (1–3 yrs)

The session is aimed at children between 1 and 3 years old. Children’s Centre staff will provide a range of activities to help develop, and improve your child’s physical and co-ordination skills.

Tuesday

New Mums Post Natal Group (0–6 months)

Children Centre staff will be working closely with local Heath Visitors to provide information and support on a wide range of relevant topics. For further details please contact you local Children’s Centre.

Wednesday

Rhythm and Rhyme

Come and join us for a fun music session. These sessions will be run by Children’s centre staff and encourage young children to listen to and join in with rhymes and songs. We will also explore musical instruments and the sounds they make.

Weaning Clinic

Weaning clinic is run by our local Health Visitor team. It is an opportunity for you to receive support and advice on weaning and first foods for your child.

Thursday

Childminders Group

Come along and meet other local Childminders and discuss strategies. The children will have lots of fun to stimulate early learning opportunities. Your Children’s Centre staff Representative is on hand at all times to give support, advice and guidance if required – All Childminders welcome.

Baby Rhythm and Rhyme (0–1 yr)

Come and join us for a fun music session. These sessions will be run by Children’s centre staff and encourage Parents or Carers to interact with their babies in singing and movement, to promote early communication skills.

Where: Bushey Community Centre
Time: 1.30 pm – 2.00 pm
Dates: 5th January – 29th March (not 16th February)

Under 1s group

Come along to a drop-in session designed for parents/carers of children under the age of 1. It’s a great opportunity to meet other new parents. Children’s Centre staff are available throughout the session to offer support and advice. The session ends with a sing song and free refreshments in our Community Café.

Play & Stay (0-5 yrs)

A fun filled session which brings together all your children’s favorite activities. Activities will encourage and support you child’s development in a safe and stimulating environment. Activities on offer will cover the six areas of learning and development (creative, physical, personal social and emotional, communication language and literacy, problem solving reasoning numeracy, knowledge and understanding of the world) this is a great opportunity for you and your child to make friends with families in your local community.

NCT Baby Café Local

Baby Café Local is a breastfeeding drop-in session run by trained breastfeeding counsellors. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers and their supporters are welcome to call by to receive infomation and support about any aspect of breastfeeding and get together with other breastfeeding mums. Save a Life

Learn how to save a child or baby’s life. You will be given the opportunity to practice doing Baby & Child Recovery, Baby & Child CPR and Baby & Child Choking- plus lots of relevant and important information regarding burns, cuts, head injuries etc

Dads Stay and Play Group

A fun filled session which brings together all your children’s favorite activities. Activities will encourage and support you child’s development in a safe and stimulating environment. Activities on offer will cover the six areas of learning and development (creative, physical, personal social and emotional, communication language and literacy, problem solving reasoning numeracy, knowledge and understanding of the world) this is a great opportunity for you and your child to play together and make friends with families in your local community. Please dress your children suitably for messy sessions

Emergency First Aid (4 hours)

The course will focus on family first aid and you will learn about resuscitation and how to manage emergency situations. Led by an experienced First Aid Trainer.
