Volunteering at the Children's Centres

Are you interested?

There will be volunteering opportunities at both Centres. Most sessions will be a maximum of 2 hours. Every Volunteer will require an enhanced CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check, and induction training and ongoing support are provided. Some of the types of opportunities that will be on offer are listed below; please contact Anne Frisch at the Children’s Centre office to find out more.

Play & Stay helper at Potters Bar

Helping with setting up, during the session and tidying away after the sessions on Friday mornings (term time only).

Toy Library

Help with requests for toys, setting up for sessions, tracking toys, checking toys when they are returned, tidying of Toy Library room, cleaning of toys.

Story Reading

Working with a group In the Day Nursery reading and tidying.
